Tyson Fury, a British professional boxer who has held multiple world heavyweight titles, recently shared a glimpse of his testimony about who he would be without God: “nothing.”

Over the years, Fury has been publicly diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and substance use disorders. While he’s shared openly about his struggles, someone recently told him he’d be in a better position if he took credit for what he’d achieved rather than giving it to Jesus Christ. This is how he responded:

“Nothing that I have is from my doing alone. A man has nothing without God," he said. "You can have all the riches in the world and all the material assets, but without God it means nothing. I’ve been blessed truly and abundantly, billions and billions of times, with money, achievements, glory, great career. But most of all, my Savior has given me my soulmate, me wife Paris….”

Fury went on to give God credit not only for his marriage, but for every aspect and blessing of his life. From his “beautiful and healthy children” to “the belts and boxing fights.” But to him, besides God, his family and children, nothing else matters. The success doesn’t matter. The achievements will fade. But Christ will last and sustain Him forever.

“To be a happy, healthy, out-of-trouble man and a family man is everything that I ever wanted to aspire to be. And to be a heavyweight champion of the world, as well as I’ve thought, is icing on the cake. And all glory must go to God.”

Crediting God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Fury ended his IG reel with a plea and declaration: Without Christ, without Him, “I am nothing. I’m another bare bum in the shower. A mortal sinner. And through His grace alone, I’m saved. Through the blood of the Lamb who died on that cross for our sins, before He even knew us. Before we were even conceived in our mother’s wombs, He says I knew you.”

With faith, Fury believes a full and elite life can be possible. With God, everything is possible. “But I want to come on here today and set the record straight: My power, my strength, my mental ability, my endurance, all come from the Almighty. Through Him all things were made.“
