Faithful with What God Has Given You
Sometimes we underestimate the gifts God has placed inside of us. We compare ourselves to others or assume our talents are too small to matter. But Scripture reminds us that every gift from God has purpose.
In tonight’s devotional, Clarence Haynes Jr. compares our gifts to a planted branch that flourishes when cared for properly. God has planted gifts, passions, and abilities inside each of us, and He desires to grow them so they can bless others.
The beauty of God’s calling is that faithfulness matters more than visibility. A simple smile, encouragement, hospitality, kindness, or willingness to serve can deeply impact someone’s life. God often uses what seems small to accomplish something eternal.
As we continue growing spiritually, God waters the gifts He has given us and helps us flourish over time. Growth is not instant — it requires consistency, care, and surrender.
Tonight, remember this truth: you already have something God can use.

Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for the gifts and purpose You have planted inside of me. Help me recognize the ways You want to use my life to serve and encourage others. Teach me to be faithful with what You have entrusted to me, even when it feels small. Grow my gifts, strengthen my faith, and let everything I do bring glory to Your name. Amen.
