Performances at The O'Shaughnessy at St. Catherine University;
Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities contributors offered early access to tickets
Presented by Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, the locally grown international hit Triple Espresso—a highly caffeinated comedy will perform at The O’Shaughnessy in St. Paul during the Christmas and New Year’s season. The first seats will be available to Mission contributors in a three-day presale from 10 a.m. July 15 to July 17.
“With Triple Espresso, audiences of all ages laugh long, and they laugh deep,” said Dan Furry, Marketing Manager with Union Gospel Mission. “We are very fortunate to partner with this show that is loved by so many around the world.” A portion of the proceeds from the performances will benefit Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities.
The comedy phenomenon has played in the Twin Cities every year for the last 23 years, and in more than 60 cities across the U.S. and abroad, including London, Los Angeles, Denver and San Diego, bringing laughs to more than 2 million people in all. From hand-shadow puppets, to dancing in Zaire, and dust storms in Nebraska, the show’s Hugh Butternut, Bobby Bean, and Buzz Maxwell relive their own dubious choices in hilarious scenes, while navigating their interpersonal issues and foibles as well. The show was written by Twin Citians Bill Arnold, Michael Pearce Donley and Bob Stromberg.
“I’ve gotten to know the Mission at a deeper level in recent years and am so delighted that we can support their amazing work,” said Stromberg. “The Mission helps provide for people’s basic needs as a doorway to something greater, a road to recovery, a caring community and more independence.”
Those who contribute $15 or more to Union Gospel Mission will receive a Presale Code giving them the first opportunity to purchase tickets. With only eight performances this year, as opposed to the show’s much longer Twin Cities runs in previous years, seats will be limited, so buying early will be important to get the best seats. With the code, donors can purchase tickets from The O’Shaughnessy online, by phone, or in person from July 15 to 17.
“For people who have thought about seeing Triple Espresso, or want a repeat experience they won’t soon forget, it’s a short window of opportunity to get some excellent seats,” said Furry. “And, they’ll help us to fulfill some real needs in our communities and truly transform people’s lives.”
Sales to the general public begin July 18 and direct donations are welcomed.
